Coliman Bananas & AHIFORES

At Coliman Bananas, we firmly believe that agricultural development must go hand in hand with respect for human rights, worker welfare, and environmental stewardship. That is why we are part of AHIFORES (the International Fruit and Vegetable Alliance for the Promotion of Social Responsibility), an organization that, like us, strives for a fairer, more humane, and more sustainable fruit and vegetable industry.

What is AHIFORES?

AHIFORES is a national alliance of producers, exporters, civil society organizations, and academics whose objective is to promote social responsibility in Mexico’s agricultural sector. Since its founding in 2015, AHIFORES has promoted good labor practices, decent working conditions, and compliance with national and international standards on human rights, health, and the environment.

We are proud to have been part of this collaborative network for seven years. As an associated company, we constantly work to implement and strengthen responsible practices in all our processes, from cultivation to marketing. This includes actions such as:

• Guaranteeing decent and safe working conditions for our employees.

• Promoting equity, inclusion, and respect in each of our operating units.

• Promoting the continuous training and comprehensive development of our teams.

• Maintaining high environmental sustainability standards in our operations.

Additionally, we actively participate in initiatives, forums, and training sessions organized by AHIFORES. We learn from other experiences, share our own practices, and always seek to improve.

We believe the success of the Mexican agri-food sector should be measured not only by the tons of produce exported, but also by the positive impact we have on the lives of the people who make each harvest possible. That is why building alliances, such as the one with AHIFORES, is essential to promoting well-being, respect, and social responsibility in rural communities.

Don Jorge Aguilar Heredia Award for 2025

In 2025, we held the third annual Don Jorge Aguilar Heredia Award. This award honors the memory and legacy of our founder while recognizing individuals within our organization who embody our core values: honesty, respect, reliability, and humanism.

As in previous years, our employees actively participated in the voting process, selecting the individual who consistently inspires others with their commitment to building a better working and human environment.

This year’s winner was Audee Ríos Canobbio, an exceptional employee recognized for her integrity, her close relationships with her colleagues, and her unwavering commitment to doing things the right way. Audee embodies the spirit of Don Jorge: a leader with strong values and a genuine commitment to the greater good.

Through this award, we reaffirm that at Coliman Bananas – AGGALL Group, our values are lived, not just stated. We congratulate Audee and thank all the employees who participated in this heartfelt initiative.

Coliman Bananas 2025 Leaders’ Convention

The 2025 edition of our Coliman Bananas Leaders Convention – AGGALL Group was more than just a professional gathering; it was a space to strengthen one of the most important pillars of our organizational culture: assertive communication.

During two days of talks, workshops, and collaborative activities, our leaders immersed themselves in an environment of learning and reflection. The focus was on how to communicate better with respect, clarity, empathy, and a focus on solutions. Through shared experiences and practical tools, valuable dialogue was generated about how assertive communication is key to leading with integrity, resolving conflicts, strengthening bonds, and making decisions that align with our values.

In a dynamic environment like ours, the ability to express our thoughts and feelings directly and respectfully while actively listening becomes indispensable. This type of communication allows us to:

• Prevent misunderstandings.

• Create healthier and more collaborative work environments.

• Give constructive feedback.

• Make more informed and consensual decisions.

Beyond technical learning, this convention gave us the opportunity to reconnect with colleagues from other departments, share best practices, and reaffirm our commitment as leaders of change. We experienced moments of inspiration and collaboration. Above all, we reaffirmed that at Coliman Bananas, we work better when we communicate with respect and empathy.

Every activity reminded us that communication involves not only talking but also listening attentively, asking intentional questions, and responding mindfully. We leave this convention with a renewed commitment to applying what we learned to our daily interactions because we know better communication makes us better leaders.

Discover the benefits of bananas at every stage of ripeness.

At Coliman Bananas, we understand that each stage of ripeness offers unique health benefits. From completely green to peak ripeness, this versatile fruit transforms in both flavor and nutritional value.

Here’s how to get the most out of each stage:

🟢 Green Banana

When a banana is green, it has a higher starch content, making it slower to digest. This allows sugars to be absorbed gradually into the bloodstream, helping to keep glucose levels stable and reduce weight gain. Green bananas are ideal for those looking to control their sugar intake or follow a low-carbohydrate diet.

🟡 Yellow Banana

At this stage of ripeness, the banana has converted much of its starch into natural sugars. This makes it easier to digest without losing essential nutrients. This stage is perfect for those who want a healthy, delicious, quickly absorbed energy option.

🟠 Ripe banana:

When fully ripe, the banana’s texture is softer and its flavor is sweeter. At this stage, the banana is especially beneficial for people with digestive problems because it is easier to digest and can provide quick, natural energy.

One fruit, many benefits!

Each color of banana has something special to offer. Whether you prefer the firm green texture, balanced yellow color, or ripe sweetness, Coliman Bananas invites you to enjoy this incredible fruit at every stage and experience its many health benefits.

🍃💚Add it to your daily diet and discover your favorite!

47 years of growing with purpose: a story that continues to grow

In 2025, Coliman Bananas proudly celebrates 47 years of history, a trajectory marked by effort, passion and commitment to our people, the land and the future, as well as effort, passion, commitment and, above all, the trust of thousands of people who have believed in what we do and how we do it.

In almost five decades, we have not only consolidated our presence in Mexico and in international markets, but we have also been pioneers in sustainable practices, employee wellness programs, social actions and alliances that promote the development of the communities where we operate.

Since our beginnings, we have grown thanks to the constant work of thousands of employees who have left their mark on every box of bananas we send around the world. Our purpose has always been clear: to feed families with fresh, healthy and responsibly grown produce.

From the field to the world’s markets

Thanks to the coordinated work of our employees, growers, partners and customers, Coliman Bananas has been able to cross borders and position itself as a proud Mexican company with an international presence.

Each crate that arrives at different destinations around the world represents much more than fruit: it represents the care of the land, the responsible use of water, respect for human rights, the implementation of good agricultural practices and the trust of a company that puts its heart into what it does.

Innovation, sustainability and well-being

In these 47 years, we have learned that growth means not only producing more, but doing it better and with greater awareness. That is why we are committed to innovation in our processes, the use of clean technologies, the implementation of sustainability programs and certifications such as Fairtrade, which confirm our commitment to the environment and to people.

We have also invested in the well-being of our people, with programs that improve the health, personal development, education, savings, training and quality of life of our employees and their families.

Because at Coliman Bananas, we firmly believe that business growth is only valid if the environment that makes it possible also grows.

A family with a vision for the future

Turning 47 is an occasion for celebration, but also for reflection. Today, more than ever, we are convinced that unity, perseverance, resilience and innovation are the way to continue transforming the future of Mexican agriculture and inspiring the world with the way we work.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who has been a part of this story: employees, growers, customers, suppliers, strategic allies, communities and families. Your trust is the engine that drives us to continue to grow with purpose.

Congratulations to all who are part of the great Coliman Bananas family! Let’s continue to reap together a more just, sustainable and vibrant future.

Races for a cause: the success of the Don Jorge Aguilar Heredia Foundation 2025 races

At Coliman Bananas, we believe in the power of bringing people together for causes that really matter. That’s why we are proud to share with you the great success of the races organized by our Don Jorge Aguilar Heredia Foundation, recently held in Tecomán and Hermosillo on the occasion of its third anniversary.

Both events brought together hundreds of participants – employees, families, athletes and the community in general – who ran not only for health and enjoyment, but also for a good cause: to continue promoting the welfare, health, education and community development programs that the Foundation carries out in different regions of the country.

The Tecomán edition was met with great enthusiasm and energy. From the very beginning, the atmosphere was filled with music, smiles and sportsmanship. Participants enjoyed 3K and 5K runs, with courses designed for all levels. The community responded with massive participation and a spirit that reaffirms our commitment to social welfare.

Hermosillo was not far behind. The race attracted runners of all ages who, as in Tecomán, ran for a cause that leaves its mark. The participation was exemplary, and the event was carried out with joy, safety and camaraderie.

These achievements would not have been possible without the support of the large family of Coliman Bananas, collaborators, volunteers and sponsors who believe in the impact of the Don Jorge Aguilar Heredia Foundation. Every step taken in these races is another step towards stronger, healthier and more united communities.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to those who participated in this special edition and we invite you to continue participating in the activities of our Foundation, because when we run with purpose, we go further.

Celebrating our growers

On December 4, Coliman Bananas experienced a special day of pride and gratitude as we recognized and rewarded those who are the heart of our company: our growers. In an event that highlighted the importance of their work, we celebrated together the tireless effort, commitment and passion that each one of them brings to ensure that our fruit reaches thousands of homes around the world.

Recognizing the protagonists of the countryside

This recognition is more than an event; it is a tribute to the men and women who, day after day, face the challenges of the agricultural sector with dedication and optimism. Our growers not only ensure the quality that distinguishes Coliman Bananas, but also embody the values that we as an organization seek to transmit: responsibility, integrity and teamwork.

A family that grows together

At Coliman Bananas, we firmly believe that success is shared. Each box of bananas that reaches the tables of families around the world carries with it the collective effort of growers, employees and partners who are part of this large family.

This event was not only an opportunity to reward their efforts, but also to reaffirm our mutual commitment to continue growing together. We want every producer to know that their work has a profound impact not only on our company, but also on the communities we serve.

Building the future together

The awards ceremony concluded with a message of hope and vision for the future. Our goal is to continue to work side by side with our growers, strengthening the alliance that allows us to overcome challenges and explore new opportunities for growth. We are deeply grateful to each of them for their invaluable contributions. Their dedication not only inspires us, but also drives us to continue writing this story of success, commitment and quality.

Altar de Muertos: Mexican Tradition

At Coliman Bananas, we value and celebrate the traditions that are part of our cultural identity. This year, with great enthusiasm, we organized the Altar de Muertos Contest during the month of November, an event that not only honors our deceased loved ones, but also promotes creativity, teamwork and community spirit among our employees.

The main objective of the contest was to keep alive this beautiful Mexican tradition, which is an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Employees organized themselves into teams and used their ingenuity and creativity to create unique and meaningful altars. Each altar told a story that reflected the cultural roots and values we share as a Coliman team.

During the event, we were able to admire the care and dedication with which each team recreated the essential elements of a traditional altar: photographs, candles, marigolds, papel picado and ofrendas. Innovative details that highlighted the originality and talent of our collaborators were also included.

The jury, made up of representatives from different areas, had the difficult task of choosing the winners. Taking into account aspects such as creativity, design, respect for tradition and the message conveyed, the winning teams were as follows

First place: Team from Candelaria, Tecomán, Colima.

Second place: Team from Tapachula, Chiapas.

Third place: Tie between the Palenque team and the Logistics team, both in Tecomán, Colima.

These types of activities are essential to strengthen the bonds between our employees and to remember the importance of preserving our traditions. At Coliman Bananas, we are committed not only to excellence in our work, but also to the promotion of cultural values that enrich our community.

Thank you to everyone who participated and made this contest a memorable event! Let’s continue to work together to keep our traditions and spirit of unity alive.
