Fairtrade Sociocultural Complex

FAIRTRADE SOCIOCULTURAL COMPLEX

Don Jorge Aguilar Heredia

Fair Trade Community Center

Through the Fairtrade model, our agricultural workers have begun the construction of a large community center with quality facilities to enjoy cultural and sports activities.

The project began 5 years ago with the acquisition of a plot of land of approximately 3 hectares and which, with an initial investment of 15.7 million pesos, has already completed two stages. The project has been fully financed with the additional funds obtained from the sales of organic fair trade bananas.

Tribute to Don Jorge Aguilar Heredia

The center is named "Fairtrade Sociocultural Complex: Don Jorge Aguilar Heredia" in homage to the founder of Grupo AGGALL-Coliman, a pioneer of fair trade in Mexico and who always cared about generating the best conditions for each of his collaborators, especially of the farm workers.
